Based on tests conduced in our laboratory and outdoors, 5000 Series Films can be expected to perform satisfactorily up to ten years.
COLORS
5000 Series Hi-S Cal are available in the following colors:
FOR CUMPUTER CUTTING 5010CM White Pressure Sensitive 5040CM Black Pressure Sensitive
APPLICATIONS
Signs, signboards, fleet marking and various labels.
STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE
All Hi-S Cal Marking Films must be stored in a cool, dry and clean area. Store Hi-S Cal Marking Films in an indoor storage room, out of direct sunlight, in an ambient temperature of 0°C to 25°C with relative humidity of 30% to 70%. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and storage in excessively humid areas. The quality guarantee period is 12 months after delivery if the above storage conditions have been satisfied.

Hi-S Cal Metal Face 70-000 Series
1. INTRODUCTION
Hi-S Cal Metal Face is a mirror-like looking marking film with excellent durability and flexible handling properties.
2. DURABILITY
Based on tests conducted in our laboratory and outdoors Hi-S Cal Metal Face 70-000 Series can be expected to perform satisfactorily up to 5 years outdoors.
3. APPLICATIONS
Outdoor signboards, Display panels and Stripe marking for vehicles and motorcycles.
4. CHARACTERISTICS
-
Easy to apply due to the softness of the PVC top film and the ability to contour curved substrates.
-
There is no need for special edge-treating, because there is no corrosion from the edge.
-
Easy to make optional printing with conventional marking film ink.
5. PRODUCT NUMBER
6. INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION
Since Hi-S Cal Metal Face is a perfect gas non-permeable film, it may swell with heat and age when applied over plastic. This is a result of the film being pushed up free ingredients such as water, carbon dioxide gas and un-reacted monomer contained in plastic.
In case of applying Hi-S Cal Metal Face on stainless steel or brass, corrosion may occur on the mirror-face from the chemical reaction of metalizing layer. Please consult manufacturer in advance before application.
Applying on an uneven surface, it may not get a mirror-face only, but also it may swell up from the air contained.
Metal Face PET 70-010 is available, which is an economical type of PET base film. It is suitable for interior use or for short time outdoor use which long term durability and curved substrate adhesion are not required.
7. LIMITATIONS OF APPLICATION

APPLICATION WARNING |
| Bonderizing zinc plate |
Possible to apply |
| Galvanized iron sheet |
Possible to apply |
| Aluminum panel |
Possible to apply |
| Stainless steel |
Possible to apply |
| Brass |
Metalized layer of edge would corrupt. Electrochemical reaction will occur between brass and metalized layer. |
| Painted panel |
Use carefully. It is possible that film might swell due to residual solvent or other gas. Metalized layer doesn't pass through gases. |
| Glass |
Possible to apply |
| Concrete, Slate |
Exclusive primer is needed. Please consult manufacturer for the details. |
| Plastics |
Film would swell due to out-gassing from plastics. Metalized layer doesn't pass through gases. |
| Flexible Face |
Use carefully: Please consult manufacturer for the details. |
CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION
- It is necessary to avoid sandwich bubbles. (Small bubble will swell the film, special caution needed except on smooth surface.)
- Avoid applying by using water. (Residual water below the film will cause swell.
- Avoid applying on high temperature place. Top film, which is PVC, will be burned. (For example, hot water pipe, steam-pipe, engine and so on.)
- Avoid applying on where sprayed water continuously. (For example, hull of a ship under draft line, shower room and so on.)
- Using transfer tape will damage mirror surface.
